He relocated to Philadelphia where he received his BFA in jazz guitar performance in 2009 from University of the Arts, and was recognized with the Music Award for Excellence.
After graduating college he continued honing his craft and developing as a guitarist by staying diligent, learning the music, showing up on time, having a good attitude as well as looking the part. He knows touring etiquette as well as the importance of teamwork and building a network which is how he’s cut records in some of Philly’s top studios and worked with some of the world’s most renowned musicians.
Franklin is well versed in many styles having a forté in pop, R&B, rap, rock, and gospel. Off the road he plays at church, produces, teaches lessons and workshops, composes, and makes videos for his YouTube channel. His ultimate goal is to collaborate and create with as many people as possible and to be a positive influence in the world on AND off the stage!
